Mindful Business Consultant
Dr. Karen Oldham is a licensed clinical psychologist since 1997. During this time, Karen has served numerous individuals, families and groups. Her areas of clinical expertise include stress, trauma, depression, anxiety, conflicted relationships, and childhood and adolescent development. Dr. Oldham taught in the doctoral program at The Florida School of Professional Psychology and headed the Child Studies track. She has supervised clinician in graduate school and in their post graduate studies for state licensure. Dr. Oldham has also taught in the Psychology Department at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Dr. Oldham has operated a private practice since 2001 in Charlotte, NC, providing psychotherapy, supervision, teaching, mindfulness, and consulting services.
In 2007, Karen was introduced to Mindfulness in a professional setting for psychologists. The clear neuroscience and astounding research data was particularly attractive to Dr. Oldham as a psychologist. Additionally, as she set out on her mindfulness and meditation journey, the health and wellness benefits became clear in her personal life. Within a short time, Karen included teaching mindfulness and mediation classes in her work.
Dr. Karen Oldham developed an eight-hour Beginner’s Mindfulness Practice class for individuals in small groups. She has written a companion guidebook to accompany her class.
In 2015, she joined The Potential Project, the leading international organization bringing Corporate Based Mindfulness Training to Fortune 500 companies. With the rising interest in and awareness of the benefits of mindfulness practices, Dr. Oldham has been assisting businesses, corporations, and individuals with integrating mindfulness into their work lives.
